Orion Nebula

Hi Guys...

This is my very first attempt at deep sky astrophotography.
It is of the Orion Nebula

Used:
William Optics 110 Margez Doublet
StarShoot Pro V2.0 Deep Space Color CCD Imager
Exposure 300 sec (Couldnt get proper autoguiding)
processed in Deepsky stacker
enhanced in Ulead Photoimpact

I would appreciate and feedback...

Thanks Ross for selling me the scope...

Thanks

Johnny

Johnny, thats a fine effort my friend.
your first shot is an excellent first step.
The colours are nice, and the most important thing is you have not over cooked it trying to do more than the photons you have collected will allow.

For your next effort i would try to :

Get more data
Try to sharpen the focus a little
try to centre the image

If you concentrate on these few things, you will be amazed with your second image !!

Well done mate !

Stu

Hi Johnny,

Nice capture despite the guiding problems.

A good start to DSO photography. Your skills and photos will improve with practice. Good advice from Stu.

I will pm you this weekend.

Good luck.

Ross.

Gee, I wish my first image of a deep sky object was so good.

Well done!
