M1 Crab Nebula

Hi All,

Last night was my first try at M1, the Crab Nebaula. It needs more data and there is some noise, but overall I am pleased with the result given the Alt/Az mount. The shape is clearly visible and there is some nice colours in the surrounding stars.

Date: 1/1/2013 ~10:30PM
Location: Sydney
Telescope: Meade LX90
Mount: Standard Alt/Az
Camera: Canon EOS 550d
Exposures: 5 x 40 seconds, ISO 6400
Processed in DSS, Paint.NET

Cheers,
Mark
