Damsel macro

Went to Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens this morning to shoot some macro with my son, Hayden, and Andrew (astro_south). Here's a damselfly (about 50mm long) that was patient enough to let me get close. Second shot isn't a crop, it's full frame at about 1.5:1 magnification.

Hi Troy

Nice work – good to see that you haven’t lost your touch. I have generally found Damsels a bit more skittish that Dragonfly’s, so good field craft mate!

Cheers

Dennis

Hi Troy

Thanks for coming out and you have done well juggling your gear, testing some new methods, chasing Hayden and putting up with me

How did you find this guy?

I like the first one with the background and detail in the wing

Thanks guys.

@Dennis - actually I have lost my touch. Ask Andrew. I was all over the place. Made the mistake of trying something new with flashes and it all back-fired.

@Andrew - yes, yes. Thanks for pointing him out
