Sci Fi movies on Foxtell last night. They called it "End of World Marathon." I thought this will be good.

Some of the worst Sci Fi I have seen. Deep Impact is a semi-good movie. I liked it. Compared to the rubbish on last night, Deep Impact is a block buster.

"Collision Earth" and "Super Cyclone" .

The first, The Sun hiccups and magnetises Mercury. The planet drifts toward Earth. I barely kept awake.

The second, An off shore oil drilling rig punctures into a magma pocket. The increased water temp gives birth to a super cyclone.Prelude commentary of the movie was, "The heroes have to stop the cyclone before it smashes up the Eastern Seaboard."
The movie was supposedly off California, West Coast. The storm should have been called a hurricane. Toy boats being tossed in a bathtub, need I say more?

I got the feeling that the script writers had no knowledge of physics or astronomy. Both movies just angered me with the insulting rubbish that was presented. Yet there would be people out there that the movies may have appealed to.

If I decided to watch Deep Imact again I would have enjoyed the evening much more.

Cheers

Hi Trevor, Hi Chris,

I haven't seen 2012 yet. I find it hard to believe anything is worse than the movies from "End of the World."

The only reason I remained watching those movies was that they fascinated me of how bad they were. It was really insulting.

Cheers
