ASCOM crashes

Is there any reasonbale way to determine what is causing ascom crashes? sometimes it seems to be focuser, sometimes mount, and now even camera. might work fine for hours, then suddenly ascom craps itself and i have to kill everything that touches it for it to work again. which really can be a pita at 3am.

i see similar behaviour on my setup at times. In my case I think it might be related to usb issues - possibly a loose connection somewhere, a flakey usb hub, the usb extension cord im using, or a combination of these things. Am looking at some options now to try to limit these dropouts.

I agree that having to trouble shoot these issues at 3am in a cloud of blood-thirsty mozzies is a little frustrating
