M42 and Running Man

Just a quicky image really as I have only spent 3 and a bit hours on this. I discovered far too late that I have a lot of reflections all over the image and will need to reposition it to remove the reflections.

That said this is not too bad as an image.

Great image as usual but the framing is a bit off for my eye.

Beautiful colours and as above very crisp. I would love to see you have a serious go at it as I'm sure you can make it look fabulous

My only suggestion is if you can underexpose the trapezium in order to show it in a widefield like this. To be honest I'm not sure if its possible or whether at this FOV the trapezium stars are just to close to each other in order to get that sort of detail.

I don't know Paul, looks to me like you could get a bit more out of the data

Looks great - maybe a bit tightly cropped as said earlier

Gee, Paul, that's pathetic. Only 3 hours and you still posted that rubbish? What were you thinking?

Seriously, though, it's beautifully crisp and a lovely colour palette. If I could eventually produce something that good, I'd be very happy indeed.

Nicely done Paul. You see lots of images of this pair of course and this one looks as good as any with great colour and an almost 3D presence.

Small nitpick with the caption - it should be luminance, not luminence.

Cheers

Steve

Love it Paul. For me the real standout of the image is the amount of detail that you have got between M42 and The Running Man
