47 Tuc

Hi all. Just started again shooting DSO's after somewhat of a hiatus due to my relocation to NZ without my equipment. But it has now arrived and as part of "first southern light" experience, here is 47 Tuc.

45 x 30sec ISO 1600 exposures - unmodified 350D + dark and bias
Maxim DL + PS
Skywatcher 8" f5, EQ6 Pro, guided by QHY5 and Skywatcher 80/400mm

Location: Canterbury Astronomical Society Observatory, Christchurch, NZ

Any constructive criticism is welcome. I know about the elongated stars at the corners. This can be either due to improper polar alignment (I was to eager to shoot anything so didn't spend to much time on it) or lack of field flatner (I have a Baader planned for that). I personally think it was the PA since the object is so close to the SCP that I needed an axis error of less than 20'. I think I had that on AZ but about 1deg in ALT.

Andrei,
Great start with your new location, stars look good in the center, bit of colour and focusing looks good.

The Baader Corrector will fix all of your woes. Keep up the good work.

Thank you all for your encouragements.

I've played some more with the data and altered some steps in the processing workflow. What I basically done, was change slightly the shape of the curve in Curves and this brought out more data.
