Lake Leschenaultia with rain & summer storm clouds

Hi all,

I haven't had much interest in landscape photography for a little while, been to obsessed with astronomical research aspirations I guess! These things go in waves. Anyhow, yesterday after a day sitting at the computer doing various work and other house chores inside I decided at 4pm to take a walk around the lake. I enjoyed 3 hours there, heading home after sunset.

This is one pic.

Storms are rare over here so you try and catch the opportunities. Nice photo Roger and the ducks certainly add a dimension of tranquility to the photo.

We have helps of Pelicans down here so I need to do the same as you and get out to my local water and snap away.

This time of year we get a lot rolling through the hills and just to the east of the hills. It's probably the most stormy time of year up here I think. This year has had especially many, probably 1-2/week. We seem to be in a pattern of increasing temperatures for a few days then a tropical style storm rolls through

Took the camera gear with me to work this morning with lightning coming down everywhere but this time the cloud was very matt even though there was a distinct front there was just nothing to photograph. Lots of bolts and rain though
