Tycho and Maginus

The picture isn't the best definition-wise, but the reason I like it is that it's the first time I capture Tycho in the Terminator. This is a very "busy" area of the Moon, with craters all shapes and forms on top of each other. Clavius (top right corner) is hardly discernible in the shade. Maginus (top right of Tycho in the picture) is such an interesting crater. I must say I never really paid much attention to it before I caught it in this light.

Cheers,

Eric

Nice one Eric. In this illumination, Tycho looks dark and brooding to me. Another day later and you would get the central peak in light. Full moon and you get the magnificent rays.

Every phase of the moon gives something different.
