Hi All, it has been cloudy here lately with only a few clear nights, but one of them happened to be on 11/08 which provided for a beautiful view of the recent conjunction.
So I went to Lower Nihotupo Dam which is a large reservoir in the Waitakere Ranges west of Auckland. From here there is a clear view of the western sky and I snapped a couple of images before the very thin crescent Moon dipped below the hills.
The image was taken with Canon PowerShot S5IS @ ISO 400 and is a stack of 4 x 0.5s and 3 x 2.5 s. Inserted are a few close ups taken a litte later of the setting Moon displaying a very bright Earth shine.

Hope you enjoy, I had a great time.
