Hi there

Thank you Rob for the kind words of support.

This will be our second year of running the event. And we are learning with each experience and challenge that we encounter.

Can I please stress that our volunteers, including myself will do our best to ensure that we cater for all interested parties and ensure an enjoyable BSG experience. We are not excluding astrophotography from the main field - it will be a BYO power supply (Battery pack). Leon, I am more than happy to loan you my battery pack for the week.

The main reason we are locating astrophotography on the tennis court is it has power and makes it easy for Phil Hart to engage those intersted in Astrophotography.

It is a difficult balancing act, in catering for all interests however we will have several identifiable hands on the observing field and around the grounds for you to approach should you have any concerns.

On a different note...

The site is back up! Which is really good news, the traffic has been incredible!

I am always available should you need to drop me a line or give me a call.

Cheers Petra

More pics.

The Bunkhouse, Court yard (Pic 2 - 6 from left) plus Teachers Accommodation is completed. Looking at all accommodation types - massive improvements have been made.

Just read the thread and have to admit I don't mind swinging both ways... no, I don't mean THAT I mean imaging and visual.... I guess I'm stuffed if I want to use the one scope for both. Bound to get someones dander up!

I'm currently arranging a group booking from Melbourne so I'll be there regardless. What I do will depend on the circumstances I find there. I could always opt for some meteor observing!

Hi there

We are aiming to cater for all interests. Bear in mind that the property is huge, only drawback is - we just dont have the power on the field. Imaging is fine anywhere on the field provided you have portable power and are considerate for those around you.

Imaging workshop will be located in a specific area for those that need to have access to power. I have a spare power supply if needed over the weekend.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Cheers Petra d.

Thanks Petra.
I'll resist the temptation to use my laptop in case I incur the wrath of the earlier poster. Worst would be the screen on my camera. Maybe with that I can get a few 'pretty pictures'

Hi Petra! The link in your signature doesn't seem to be working - tried last night and this morning. Just wondering how you're going with the final "Information Pack". Not long to go now...
