Our singapore friends (Remus and others) had a few questions, which I answered, but I might post them here too just incase anyone else was wondering the same thing

1) We understand that during the course of the star party, we will need to have breakfast and lunch settled ourselves (besides the nice hotdogs and drinks purchases). We were wondering if we could settle some of these meals from Gresford or East Gresford? Or we have to buy our groceries and cook at the star party location?

Gresford has some take away shops, so you can buy meals there. You can also buy cereal or bread if you want to cook at the star party.

2) Do you allow the use of green lasers as navigation tools at the star party?

2) Green lasers are ok. They can be used up until 10pm no problems, after that as long as they're not on all the time it won't be a problem. As a "goto" type aid it should be ok if it's used sparingly after 10pm. Some people there will be doing astrophotography.

3) What is the nominal night temperature at Lostock? Any winds?

It will be very hot during the day (over 30-35° if it's sunny) and sometimes humid. Night time temperatures probably 10-15°. It can get quite dewey because there was no wind last year. The last night had a slight breeze which kept the dew away, it was perfect. It's not a windy place, but can get the occassional gust or breeze.

4) Are there petrol stations in Gresford?

Yep, Gresford has a petrol station.
