Were they , I don't remember seeing them back onboard. Must have missed something.
Maybe they gated straight back to the ship once they when on their unauthorised excursion
I'll have to watch the relevant parts of the ep again. (Good thing I have it on the HDD).

That's what I thought too.
I had the impression they were abandoned , the ship jumped to warp before they could tracked down , even if the rest of the away team could hit the redial button and go to the same planet , there seemed no attempt to try.
Yep .... I saw that little ship shoot through too .... thought it was a shuttle (the damaged one also sits on the outside of the hull) ... why ?? pretty dumb of the ancients to do that I reckon.
Maybe it was automated and sent by the ship to rescue the guys who were abandoned.
Or some nasty aliens were piggy backing and have gone to get their buddies.

I agree with some of the above comments. Having been an avid stargate fan from the first SG1 episode, I'm used to my sg teams being able to solve any problem, come through unscathed and face up to the meanest aliens. If there is any technical issue, then just let Samantha or Rodney have a go at it and interface a laptop to 100000 year old superior technology in 15 minutes under pressure of death. Yep thats Stargate to the core.
Now all of a sudden we have a bunch of civililians and marines that don't even rate on the combat capability scale, all thrown together onto some busted ship and it takes them 3 episodes to get the air scrubbers working. Sheesh, its going to be a long dry run if this series doesn't quicken the pace. They served us up heroes, brainiacs, humour and alien crushing battle scenes for over 10 years and now we have to go with a bunch of losers in a dark and deary place where everyone hates each other and mind numbing simple puzzles to solve. If I wanted that, I'd go and watch a season or 2 of survivor...
I'm adopting a wait and see attitude..It can't get any worse can it?

Sorry if we ruined it for you...not half as bad as what the producers did to many of us that used to like it...The problem is that they are trying too hard for all the different tastes...Guess I better not tell you what happens in the next ep hey?

Must say that episodes 1-2 weren't quite what I had anticipated. Flashbacks just messed with the flow.
Episode 3 was much better, though I hope they don't use the arm in the event horizon too many times to stop the clock...

Episode 4 doesn't seem to have improved anything, in fact they seem to be toying more with weird camera angles and are we going to have to have EVERY episode hanging...
I can't stand the computer games kid who seems to have become the ancient spaceship genius understudy - is that supposed to provide credibility to every game playing geek out there that thinks success will come from playing computer games all day rather than hard work and study?
You can tell I'm not warming to this show at all..there are so many dysfunctional things happening, its a mess.

OK ....
The Hd Scientist spits the dummy ..... sleep deprivation , stress , and caffine and nicotine withdrawals and everyone hates him (the feeling is mutual it seems .... one antisocial SOB) . Saw that coming.
Ship runs out of power .... what no spare zero point modules on board ?
no backup naqahdaheum enhanced nuclear power generator, and no backup means of collecting hydrogen from planetary atmospheres to power a backup sublight speed propulsion system, how remiss of the ancients .... not as smart as we think they are.
And the mystery spaceship that let go of the hull and bugged out at the end of ep3 is not explained , or it seems is even noticed by the humans. Mmmm.
Gotta wait til next week to if the nerdy math-boy gets the pretty rich prom queen girl or if they can get bootstart the space ship before it gets too close the that white dwarf star. He's certainly racking up those browny points with her.
Don't think much of a commander who leaves his post in the midst of a life and death crisis to make up with his wife ....

I finally got around to watching the 3 episodes last night and frankly what a load of *beep*. Overzealous army fruitcakes, scientist portrayed with hidden agendas... blerg.
Tempted to take it off series link. I guess I'll keep watching it but it's a bit meh-worthy IMHO.

I guess I had hoped the 9th co-ordinate would take them to a different place, like a different dimension...

Reminds me of another SciFi series - BSG , only their's no jewish mythology thing going on in STU (not made by Hollywood but the Canadians ... thanks for small mercies).
I also detested Lost, only watched it because my wife was hooked , and I think SGA came on after it.
I watched the first few eps of BSG (the "rew" series) and wrote it off , I don't waste my time watching it when it airs now and wont waste my download quota on that one.
SG1 or SGA , SGU is not. I hope the story lines improve soon else I'll be writing this one off.
Isn't about time they sent one of those ancient communication devises to Sam Carter and got her in on the act of helping fix the ship , rather than using them for reports to military superiors and for private stuff ?

Lets see :
7 coordinates = + and - xaxis , + and - yaxis , + and - zaxis inside the galaxy of origin and distance
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...inates.svg.png
8 coordinates = all the above and key to the Pegasus galaxy (only one location ? = Atlantis)
9 coordinates = the ship or ships like it , you'd think the ancients would send out more than one "base" ship into deep intergalactic space.
10 coordinates = next series idea might be time travel + or - direction
11 coordinates = another series to parallel universe travel ....
.... if I got that wrong , not a superfan of SG so I don't remember all the ins and outs of it.

Yeah, I loved the original BSG, grew up with it as a kid, but the new one I just couldn't get into... too much drama and not enough pew pew

I'm trying very hard to like this thing they call Star Gate universe, however after we eventually recovered from the sicklly feeling all that camera work did to us, we simply ran out of energy to "hang in there" with the continuing SAGA...I was hoping this ep would have all the "bonding" done and we could finaly start a few missions or SOMTHING!...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ...Oh well...considering everything else on the SCI-Fi channel is crap, I guess we have no choice...I guess we'll just keep watching until somthing better comes along & just hope they change the pace a little. PLEASE STOP THE DIZZY CAMERA WORK...a 3 year old could do better on a roller ladder!

Torrented Ep 5 :
You guessed it, the ship making a d-line straight through a star was just a pit stop and the ships fields protected it (all energy diverted to the shields apparently).
No surprises there.
Mathboy still interested the dead senator's little miss princess daughter.
Again the Colonel failed to act like a real leader . and just chooses 2 key people (a pilot and a medic) and then the rest of the 15 survivors are chosen by "random lottery" ....
Ep.6 has no lead up cllmatic event ....
Looking at the official site, looks like Ep6 will be more of the same .
Ep7 sounds promising.

Basically its still takes a very long time before anything entertaining happens. It's getting there, very VERY SLOWLY. Ever notice when an add comes on for SG1 or Atlantis, how the PACE picks up really quickly with plenty of Adventure, Action & Humor!!! Catch yourself thinking "now that's Star Gate!!! ...SGU is still "wanting"...although good old MacGyver is in the next ep...The Battle star Galactica over dramatic antics really suck-The GOON soldier is a Toss!-I'd love to see Tilk cross paths with him...Actually...that's how I'd compare the two shows...Until next episode...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ and during it ZZZZZZZZZZZ

At least Math Boy & BooHoo girl got off the ship for a bit. LOL @ when the soul stones malfunctioned…Lou couldn’t get enough and had to come back for more. I wonder if his going to act the part to find out what’s really going on.
Seems to be worth watching for all the *****ing I’ve done. There easing up on the camera antics, and actually going to have a fire fight next ep. Maybe there is hope yet

im a huge stargate fan. I have every season of stargate sg1 and atlantis. However i dont like Stargate Universe at all. The stories are boring and the acting is shocking.
