Graham,

Actually, I laminated the ply to make the SC rings last night, which I'm going
the cut later today.

I think it will be a couple of months before first light.

Glen,

The 16" wont be seeing first light for a month or two I'd imagine. I'm
compiling all the components. And still thinking about some aspects
of the design. Looking like I'll be going with the full SC look as oppose
to me cut down look I did on the 8". Moslty due to focuser placement
and truss poles.

Gary from Wildcard emailed me last night saying the AN with mounting kit
has been shipped which will come in handy as I'm building the SC at
present.

Thanks for the message and invite ...

Unfortunately this Saturday the wife and I have
to be in Brisbane, and probably won't get back
until late.

I'm assuming that your observing sessions are Saturday
night.

I will keep an eye on the forum, and hope to catch up
with some of the local group soon.

Cheers, Paul M.

Looking at dusting off the o'l canoe again out here today. We've had about
an inch of rain by the look... to wet to run out over the yard and check the
rain gauge lol.

I recon we'll be right by the weekend... my busted bones haven't yet been
giving me grief so it cant be lasting

btw, welcome Lismore Bloke, hope to see you at one of our get togethers.

regards,CS

Actually it was cloudy out here so I stayed home. Although nice and clear-ish
now.

Glen,

Did you end up observing Saturday night? it got pretty cloudy out my way.

I ordered a bag full of bits from SDM yesterday, and what do you know...
bucketing down today. The pain in the *** is, it's too wet to get out in the
shed and do anything

No, didn't observe, it was partly cloudy. Casino has had 60mm of rain in the last 6 days due to the purchase of a 16".
