Actually I would last one summer up there. You are not me so you have no idea what I can and can't tolerate.

No, but I've lived up here for 37 years and I know what it can get like.

Love summer hate humidity can do without that as our evaporative air-con doesn't work properly

love swimming, the beach, surfing when I can, fishing on a summers night, early morning walks, soaking in the pool or a barbecue or two, a nice cold beer or a cool glass of white, a nice sea breeze while watching the sun set across the ocean

did I say hate the humidity

I get home from work and want to do some work in the observatory but it's just too hot and often humid.

It hasn't rained much for months. Well established trees and shrubs are dieing, the bush looks very thin, the local lake is at a record low and closed for swimming.

Very keenly awaiting a season change! ... any time .. now .. c'mon .. now!
I hear ya, Here is about the same, average day temp of 35 (mostly around 37ish) and average nights of 25(usually around 27-28) for the last 30 odd days, killer humidity and no wind, over 40 yesty, 29 now in the middle of the night and around 37-38 days for the next week forecast, I'm really, really over summer. Oh and the worst, storms everywhere around us all the time and not a drop here for weeks, just more heat,humidity..and cloud, bleh-over it

Had my shoulder operation last week on Wednesday and was sweating even in the hospital. If I knew the weather was going to be like this I would have been inclined to cancel the op.

Darwin just had it's wettest February on record with only a handful of days without rain...rain, rain @!#*ing rain!!

Everything's mouldy...even the dog...and worst of all is that I haven't seen the stars in 6 months, yep SIX MONTHS!!!
And it'll probably be another month or two before it clears at this rate...La Nina has knobs on it, big...spikey...knobs.

Ever seen a grown man sobbing quitely to himself whilst scraping mould off a dog??

Then watch this space...

Well we got some rain today!!!! ( in the eastern suburbs at least...)
Had a bit of a storm come through. As I was going to work ( heading due north) driving straight towards a huge cloud formation with heaps of lightning!. Kicking myself for not taking my camera with me ( which I usually do).
Just as I got to work it was pissing down and the thunder storm was right above us. Power out, of course, and also to 55000 homes along the Bullsbrook to Kalamunda corridor.
On my drive home found a devastation of trees, power poles and road signs close to the corner of Great Northern Highway and Reid/Roe Hwy.
Plus side....... darker than usual skies!

I think I might have been the cause of the storm....
Yesterday I turned on my slow trickler watering system to my front yard patch ( 5mx2m ish) that has native plants. It has not had any water for dog knows how many weeks. So I thought I would give it a bit of water. Sure enough forgot about it, and did not turn it off until 10 hours later.
So Mother Nature is punishing me!

I do love the heat over cold, but would like a bit of rain on a regular basis, just to clear the dust and water the plants... then back to a nice 30ish degrees.

We'll probably have no rain for a few weeks to come again....

Hmm, I should be more careful what I wish for!

50mm rain at home.
Significant damage to trees and roads.
No power for 14 hours now.
No water since late last night.

Lots of chainsawing and mulching to do on the coming weekend to clean up the mess which our place currently is. Extremely lucky with where the trees fell.

No power yet to fully test for lightning damage but turned the 'scope on using UPS and thankfully so far indications are it is ok. I'd be surprised if the router survived the lightning.

Oh well, a few days and I will be wishing for more rain again

Yet 20km towards the west nothing . I just need relief from the humidity, I would compare this to the silly season up when I stay in Darwin few years back.
