Yep, in those days the shortened version didnt exist.
Still enjoy cricket though. Not mad about it and spend a whole 5 days sitting at a cricket field.
The highlights on telly satisfies my interest.

Why not, would you expect a child to learn all of human knowledge in a single semester at school.
But, to get back to the original question. There's no doubt Jesus existed, but as said before, was he, who knows

Hi Bill, i'd never heard of it till a thread by Doug some time ago, and the linked vid were talking about all these other older ancient religions/belief systems/stories had the 'died and rose three days later' element, got me thinking, sure is an interesting coincidence eh

These are matters of faith I suppose.

Agreed!
Although I think the burden of proving a certain something/someone exists/existed lies with the parties making that point. But you're correct 'faith' is always going to make for a skewed debate!

Your parting shot is an interesting one , also made recently in something I watched about David Icke (the well known nut!!) Only joking, Icke says many things that make sense but IMHO stuffs all the 'good' stuff by labouring his theory that George Bush, UK Royal Family et al are descended from alien reptilian bloodlines!!! Perhaps he's right?!

ps...will be saying no more re: Jesus until he returns!

i thought it was policy to avoid this subject here
The ads appearing in the Google sidebar are not directly under the control of IIS admin, as I'm sure most are aware.

Unfortunately the thread's been locked and a post deleted as it's not pertinent to the general topic of the thread, the question to which has already been adressed.
