Great job Everyone!! This wasn't really fair to you all, but we really got some interesting guesses and some really close guesses actually. I was told by a geologist that it looked like Iron Slag to them....? It's a rock. :-) dt

Back to the object in question, it is not magnetic. I don't know if that means that it is not "iron slag" then or not... :-) Really, what is it??? lol
