Hi Kathryn,

I've only been a member now for a couple of weeks or so and since then I've been having a go a things I just didn't think were possible with my junky little scope and been having a ball and lot's of late nights and early mornings.

Have fun

Hi Andrew and David, Thanks, I will definitely take you up on the offer. I am a nurse so will check my roster for available dates. Must confess tho that I am not a coffe drinker - bit of a wino myself. I would love to be able to use my scope properly but because I have had a great time just pointing at the sky I have not put too much effort into learning about it. I got a bit frustrated with the mechanics of it all when I first got it and received lots of advice to just have fun for a while just pointing at the sky.

cheers Kat

No worries Kathryn. I have sent you a PM (Private message) to organise things further. Don't forget to ask anything on this forum - no matter how noobie you think it sounds as there are people around here that are all to happy to help. The response is usually quick too

I've got some red or white (not sure what the etiquette is for observing - maybe it is object specific ) that have been in my wine rack waiting to be drunk for some time!

A big hello to you Kathryn! Glad to see you made your way over from the other site. I'm also glad that you are just enjoying yourself out there, goodonya for persistence. You should take the fellas up on their offer, then you can finally solve that finder problem once and for all and enjoy the wine better
Clear skies!

Hi David and Andrew, I may just take you up on your offer. I really need to work out how to use it properly. Reading about the heavens always interested me but I must confess that all the gadgets that astronomers MUST have, hooked me too. I often look at the photos that have been put on the forum and I am not seeing anything that good. But still really enjoying it. I drag it outside every chance I get and wow a few dinner guests with views of saturn. Will work out my shifts (nurse) and get back to you.
cheers kat

Hi Silvie, I feel like I am catching up with an old friend. Actually I took a peek at this site when first suggested and just browsed. This is definitely a good place to be. Hey I looked at your photo of your scope - very nice - impressive. Also saw the fiance - nice too!
I am going to put a photo on of me and my scope, its set up in the lounge like a big ornament.

Nice to chat to you again
cheers kat
