50% illuminated moon

Captured the other night with an ED80 telescope and my Canon 6D, at a focal length of around 900mm.

I took 90 shots in a very short period of time, and used registax to pick the 'best' frames out of those. The best 30 frames were stacked together to reduce noise, and processed using Registax wavelets and Photoshop.

Larger version here: http://bit.ly/1dMz7DS

Was nice to be out! The Moon looked great.

Very sharp, and no bright saturation. Good fade in lunar terminator region. Not easy to do with a DSLR. Congratulations, nice work.
