My turn at the Key (Hole) ED80 2xEDbarlow.

Hi,

After seeing some of the stunning images of the key hole nebula, thought it was time to have a go, regardless of the moon.
Decided to use the ED 80 and 2 x ED barlow and fringe killer. The main reason I wanted the ED80 for this is no diffraction spikes.

Although it's pushing it a little I'm really happy with the result!
The stars are a little blobby but to be expected. The thing that surprised me is the resolution on the nebula.

Equipment.

ED 80, ED 2 x barlow, baader fringe killer.
HEQ pro 5 mount. Orion mini guider.

Unmodded canon 1100D,

5 and 8 minute subs at ISO 1600 117 minutes, darks and flat frames applied.

Median stack in DSS, processed in PS7.

Cheers,

Justin.

And that's another nice one Justin. Colour looks just a little too magenta though.

Cheers
