A couple of galaxy photos from Coona

As in the title and despite not being the best targets for my short focal length but I decided to give these couple of galaxies a try last months.

The first image is on Fornax A, NGC 1316, a lovely shell galaxy in Fornax that is very nice with her complex tidal shells and tiny dusty patches on the core. I wish I had a bigger telescope to get more details on the core but still something is visible.
NGC 1316

The second image is of NGC 4945 in Centaurus, irregular galaxy almost edge-on with complex dust lanes set in a very rich star field.
NGC 4945

Surely not the best images of these objects I have seen but I am happy to have them in my collection

Hope you will like them both
Clear skies
Marco

Both gorgeous images Marco.

You got a lot of structure in 1316.

Greg.

Not too sure about 4945...I think it's more of a narrow field object....but..

Bellissimo Marco! Your NGC1316 rendition is just sublime.

Your images are always stunningly fresh and imaginative to me.
Beautifully processed and a pleasure to look at as I always see something new in them.
Thanks for posting Marco.
