Thor's Helmet (NGC 2359) v2.0

Hi All,

I decided to give my previous Thor's Helmet image an overhaul, using some of the techniques I learned while processing my recent 120 hour Centaurus A image.
I think the result is a major improvement and better emphasises the nebula and the galactic cirrus in the background - but see what you think?

Link to high resolution version

Attached is a preview of both versions for reference.

Regards,
Rolf

Sorry...don't rec-og-nise that... it's not Centaurus A

Seriously, excellent improvement Rolf and a lovely rendition of this little beauty

Beautiful images Rolf ! Can see the difference with the processing but I still love both of them. Nice work.

Nice work Rolf; you've definitely picked up some fainter nebulosity there.

Yes that is definitely an improvement. What did you do differently?
