KFC Hot n Spicy comes back on June 4

416,580 seconds until KFC HOT N SPICY....

Anyone that says oh " i dont like it" or "my home cooking is better" knows nothing... you may think that, but when your mum/dad/son/daughter/spouse walks in that door with that KFC bucket (a creation more beautiful than the universe itself), and you smell and see the HOT N SPICY for the first time after 2 agonizing years, it is a force stronger than god himself. RESISTANCE IS FUTILE !!!!!!!!!!

This, this will be make Melbourne's overcast winter a happy occasion as I spend each traditional overcast wet weekend with a slab of beer, 9 seasons of Family Guy on DVD and multiple pieces of god's most wondrous creation.

Interestingly, my cholesterol has actually dropped between my last 2 blood tests, despite my diet getting worse (IMO) in that period... I was genuinely surprised. I am drinking less soft drink, eating less and trying to eat healthier these days though. While I am carnivorous, I do love certain salads and things like coleslaw.

But... bring it on!!! I don't do leaves and rabbit food (unless it's in a burger ofcourse). Life is supposed to be enjoyed while you have it, not agonized over when you're gonna die

lol when I am not hunting galaxy clusters, I am enjoying my life too much in other ways to care about the exact year I'll cark it! Whether it be walking the dog, going for a drive to the airport for some plane spotting, chasing lightning storms or indulging in beer and junk food while watching Family Guy or Fawlty Towers.... life must be enjoyed the way you want to!

Life is too short and can be taken away at the drop of a hat.... enjoy it your way the way you want, ignore all the fun police and the fun/health nazis.. after all, your life is your's, you are the boss of yourself

I hear ya Sab!

Just 31 days until I move to a civilised country again that actually has a KFC to patronise.
I for one cannot wait, not sure on the hot and spicy situation but I'll figure it out.

I'm a bit concerned about all that roughage though you have in your burgers.

It's not really that hot, though, is it?

More like "Australian hot", which is pretty mild. It doesn't give me pins and needles around my eyes, which is my indicator of too much hotness. Doesn't even make my mouth catch fire.

Mind you, I'd murder a 3-chilli vindaloo, any day of the week! Or nachos with habanero peppers. Yummo!

Shane,

You'd love my recipe for Chilli Crab, it's a traditional Indonesian recipe.

The sauce alone has around 20 chopped chillies in it.

Sort of varies. Sometimes it is hot, sometimes not so much. Last time I had it, it was pretty spicy. My lips were stinging 2 pieces in, and 5 pieces later I was scared of going to the dunny lest I expel lava from myself. Alas, at 4am the next morning I found myself in the very situation I feared and the reality was every bit as bad as anticipated!

Johnny Cash wrote a song about it ... Ring of Fire!

I'm going to grow the Ghost Chillis next summer - the Bhut Jolokia pepper. I have the seeds all ready to go.

That should make a real ring stinger of a curry!

Hi Shane.

I grew them this year, they are awesome. When you cut one in half taste a bit on your tongue, you'll get instant sweat and an instant euphoric chilli high.

A bit of trivia, I read that in Indonesia they grow these Chillies around their main crops to keep Elephants out of them.

Cheers
