Prom with DMK51 and ASI120mm

Wind, cloud and rain with really bad condition all round.
Gave up on any thought of a full disc or AR close ups.
There was a great prominence on display so I tried to capture an image or two of it. I have done a side by side between the DMK51 with a 3x Barlow and the ASI120mm at Prime Focus.
Scope is 130ss Vixen and SolarMax90 BF30.
First three are from the DMK51.

Prom

This is the ASI120mm.
First is at 800x800, second at 640x480 and third is 320x290.
Conditions and time didn't allow to grab any disc details with the120. It took 4hours of mucking around to get this.

Not much between the two camera's I don't think Ralph. I'm giving it to the 51 though, scraping in by the skin of it's teeth. What's the difference in frame rate between the two?

That's the thing with the ASI120 John.
The DMK51 is running at 12fps
The ASI 120 is churning out almost 70fps at 800x800.
Then at 640x480 it cranks up to 110fps
At 320x240 it runs at Max 115fps.
These number change slightly with different settings. (not too much though) There are of course settings in-between as well.
I still need to sort out all the proper settings for my scope setup.
For fast moving proms I think the ASI 120 will do better with detail.

Stunning captures Ralph. What number of frames were used with the ASI120 and the DMK51?

Hi George,
DMK51 1200 Frames and stack 20%
ASI 120 3500 Frames @ 800X800
The other two were 6000 Frames and again 20% stack.

Gee, it'd take my awhile to construct a 15 pane mosaic at 12 FPS lol but then, I wouldn't need a mosaic at all with the 51 due to the size of the chip, would easily fit the full disc in with room to spare in the PST.
