before we were inundated by mothers at our place i managed to get some solar shots off. only processed now as we got rid of the visitors
shot with the ASI120MM and vixen 2.4 barlow, and the 127ED scope and Baader solar wedge. Stacked in Autostakkert and processed in registax and PS. Seeing was very ordinary and we had fog up until 11am
Lovely solar granulation and faculae David, you’ve really got that Baader Herschel Wedge singing along!
Cheers
Dennis
PS - I hope the Mum’s were impressed by your endeavours!
no i was told in no uncertain term to close the observatory and not, repeat, not go and process any work. I obeyed the command.
thanks for the positive comments, but to be fair the seeing was not very good, we had a big morning fog that when it was lifting was making the air quite turbulent
thanks John, it ended up being a beautiful clear morning /lunch time after i finished, but it was turbulent, i should put up a snippet of the raw video somewhere but it was a 3gig run
Certainly the nicest solar image you have produced. Nice granulation and great spherical look to the whole image.
thanks Paul - i really wanted to get this large sunspot coming around the edge. one day i might jag it for perfect conditions. Mind you though until that day comes i probably will still be hit and miss
it is a steep learning curve that i am sure goes in a loop
