GN 16.43.7.01 Cometary globual.

Hi,

Here's another gem that is rarely imaged. GN.43.7.01
The cometary globule in this image can be found about 2 degree's away from zeta Scorpii.

Still surprises me what's out there to image!

Equipment.

8" Newtonian astrograph f/4. on HEQ pro 5 mount. Orion mini guider.

Unmodded canon 1100D, baader coma corrector, cooler box.

11 x 10 minute subs, darks and flat frames applied.

Median stack in DSS, processed in PS7.

Cheers,

Justin.

The mysterious dark tower! Great rendition Justin! FoV looks vignetted, perhaps flats aren't correcting enough? Would be worth investigating further to improve on this. Good work! Looking forward to seeing more.

A beautiful looking object Justin...a new one for me.

Again, the detail and colours you have produced looks great.

Thanks Jase!

Yep flats are crap, I use a large white sheet of card and usually fluorescent globe. That blew and I used quartz globe, didn't illuminate the card evenly.
