May Day Saturn
Saturn last night, 1st May, from Brisbane. The first image is at capture size, the second reduced and disc detail enhanced.
Canon EOS 600D, 1080p Video Crop Mode, 1500frames, 30fps, 1/30sec, ISO 6400, Auto white balance and Auto picture style, 2x Barlow, 5x Powermate, 1500mm f/5 12" SkyWatcher Goto Dobsonian, auto tracked this time

That's beautiful. Best result I have seen with a DSLR video crop-mode image. What did you use for stacking, what settings did you use e.g. Number of align points etc.?

Jon, stacked in Autostakkert! using 200 pixel squares.
Stuart, yes I did cheat. My fingers weren't fast enough to switch between slewing azimuth at 2x rate and altitude at 1x rate for manual tracking as the planet was approaching meridian so high up.
