Safe Case (Bunnings). Great little case!

I needed another storage case for some telescope stuff. Didn't want to spend $40 on another aluminium case plus I didn't need another big case so I went for a smaller, cheaper option.

Fantastic little case for $20. Here are some pics below. Has the fancy pluck-able foam.

I will be putting my NexImage 5 and barrel in it as well as my collimator (waiting for it in the mail). Once I get the collimator I will chuck the items in and upload another photo.

Hi Stefan,

Looks to be a neat little item of great use.

er.... You do realize that this will now draw the ire of your fellow astro buddies in Melbourne....?? Another rainmaker and cloud magnet.

Should have just said you saw it in Bunnings
Confessing up front is brave.

Anyway I like the looks of it and will have a gander at it when I visit Bunnings again.

Cheers

Excellent value.

How many eyepieces were you able to fit in there?

2 x 1.25" (Plossl) and 1 x 2" as these are the only ones I have nowadays.
I'd say you could prob fit in 4 or maybe at a pinch 5 1.25" pieces.

The only thing I dislike about these cases is the Theft Value - see Brian's thread. Theives KNOW that there is usually something valuable - tools etc - in these, so are targets of acquisition.

I keep my eyepieces, filters etc in snap lock foam lined lunch boxes. Less obvious IMHO.

I've also got one of these, they're a great case, and can hold quite a bit of gear...

Might go grab another
