strange anomoly

hello members
here is a strange one, these are my brothers shots and basically we were both trying to fix his polar alignement on tuesday night
these are eight separate shots of two minute duration done consecutively
he phoned me today and said he ended up stacking them and the result was that the anomoly run paralell by a small amount and are not on the same plane
i can only think of something broken up and tumbling
anyone seen anything like it before?

Is it 8x2min, or 8x15sec ? - looks like satellite trails or meteors, but seems too slow for those if each frame is 2min.....
