29 March 2013 Easter Sol - trying out a new filter

I received my second replacement blocking filter for the lunt yesterday and was keen to try it oout. well the conditions today were crud, lots of broken cloud to start with then fully clouded out. pushed my luck, i used a vixen 2.4 barlow that screws into the DMK41. must add that the seeing was probably the worst i have seen for a while

Nice proms there David, my preference is for the colour images, they seem more 3D somehow.

Cheers

thats the thing that is worrying me, when you think about it there is a lot of efffort and money tied up in one of these, only to be let down by a coating on a small disk?
