Sunday Sun March 24

I collected these images today. Doing a bit of experimentation with wavelet sharpening of my hires shots to try to get them a bit sharper. I've done two colourisation methods for each image.

Thanks guys.

It used to take ages to process these in Registax 5 in the lappy. Now I'm transferring the videos to my desktop PC via external HDD and processing in R6... so much quicker!

Nice work Al. Reckon you should give Autostakkert a go; it'll be so much quicker again & IMO will do a better job at aligning & stacking..

I downloaded it the other day, John. I had one look at it but it didn't strike me as self evident how it works, so I went with what I know. I'll have to invest a bit of time watching the AS tutorials I think.

I must've been tired when I looked at Autostakkert... trying to read too much into it.

Here's a quick repro using autostakkert. The sharpening is pretty coarse compared to the wavelets I usually use in Registax. You'll see what I mean if you flick back and forth across these 2 images and the first two in the thread. How do you adjust the sharpening?

I don't use sharpening at all in Autostakkert Al. I just use it to stack with then it's save as a .tiff & into Registax 6 to use waveletts on it.
