Orion with the 80ED

Had a go at Orion with the 80ED last night just to see what was possible.
Canon 5DH in cam NR on. ISO 1600, 4X1min + 4X6min, LPR filter, Hutech FR/FF, 80ED @ F6.4, stacked with Registar Raw to 16b Tiff. levels and curves in PS.
This is all I managed before the cloud rolled in again!

Nice, I notice the red is a bit dominant but wow, stars are nice and sharp and the image looks good.

You've taken a good combination of exposures Bert, which should give you a great amount of detail. I had a look at your histogram and it's clipped which means you've lost detail along the way in processing.
Did you shoot in RAW?
The image scale is terrific BTW which allows plenty of roon to crop the image as needed.

Try it now I think I uploaded the wrong one from another folder with the same name without checking. I should stop staying out late at night!
