Rho Ophiuchus Region with Three! Asteroids? Comets?

This data was collected on the morning of 13-03-2013 between 2 AM and 6AM Melbourne time.

For RGB 16x4 mins for each.

There is a gradient as Rho was not very high.

Below is a b&w image showing the asteroid positions overlaid in colour. Two crops showing the RGB four hour tracks.

Can anyone identify these objects?

Hello Bert,

Great image!

Asteroids in the area at that time were:
937 Bethgea (mag. 15.8)
254 Augusta (mag 15.8)
and a bit further away:
2360 Volgo-Don (mag 18.1)
3396 Muazzez (mag 17.2)
There were several more further away.
Bethgea is the most likely one.

Do you have a map?

I checked Starry Night Pro and nothing was close to those positions!

Either my version of SNP is not up to date or I am missing something.

None of your candidates match the positions or magnitude.

I got the position of Bethgea from Cartes du Ciel - with updated data of asteroids.
It gave the position as
RA 16h 25m 09s
Dec -23 27' 00"
about 20' from Rho

at 4:00 am 13/3/13

Augusta
RA 16h 25m 08
Dec -22 45' 17"
about 50' from Rho

I don't think either of these are in the right position - the data base loaded about 17,000 asteroids - but the ones in your image may be higher (and fainter?) than these.
Interesting challenge to find them - there are other data bases.

They can only be asteroids or dare I say it comets.

John I found those two by stacking with the maximum setting rather than median.
