Could it be... some clear skies in SE QLD?

I don't want to get too excited, but the forecasts seem to be predicting some possible clear skies in SE QLD for this Fri/Sat night???

I've yet to do *any* proper DSO imaging in 2013... here's hoping!

I'm all set up with some new gear from Moonlight for the refractor to test and I want to do a new mosaic of about nine panels in Virgo. Here is hoping.

Allan, please don't mention new gear - the cloud & rain gods are easily displeased!!!

I too have seen the forecast for Friday & Saturday night - the only drama will be the Moon but I'm going to image anyway!!!

Cheers,
Mario

Yes, but tonight is supposed to be clear too isn't it?
Onshore moisture is always very tough for the models this time of year. Sigh.

WOW!,best day in S.E QLD for around six weeks!,gorgeous sun! the sky looked like the sky shots from "Ferris Buller's day off",now if I can just remember how to get this vixen purring again.Had to do major work around the observatory to get the roof off-sprayed a bit off WD 40 on wheels and rails, and its still looking good.

Hope cyclone Tim stays in the tropics for a couple more nights...

I'm heading up to Leyburn after work tomorrow - have the car packed already. Lots of chores planned for Saturday.

Great to hear you've been out in your observatory again Chris.

Bugger. It's been the best day today I've seen in yonks WITH good seeing on dusk so I leaves the scope out for Saturn later on and you guessed it, wall to wall cloud.

Clear skies here on the Brissie south side since dusk - such a beautiful sight!

I'm very tempted to head out to Leyburn too, but have a bit too much to do for an overnight trip (including two exams in the next two weeks).

I may just do some narrowband from the backyard if the weather holds up.
