Lousy-No-Good-Pilots

This struck me quite funny. I can imagine the antics that these pilots can get up to.
My son, USA Blackhawk pilot sent me email. The following is an excerpt from it.

One civilian was using his cell phone in-flight. Despite the myths, the worst it can do to our 'delicate flight instruments' is make that cellular drumming noise in our intercom system. He didn't know that. The crewchief told me he was on his phone 'again', so I started flying erratically, banking, losing altitude, etc. The crew started looking around startled, popped some flares (quite unexpected and distressing if you're in the back), grabbed their guns nervously, and finally 'noticed' the guy with the phone. With a performance worthy of an Oscar, one crewchief dramatically gestured for him to 'cut it out' because the aircraft will 'crash'. The civilian promptly put his phone up. I looked back into the cabin to see what the 'problem' was, the crewchief pointed at the civilian, I gave him a good hard scowl. He looked sheepish for the remainder of the flight and apologized once we got on the ground.

His tour of duty in Afghanistan is almost complete. The soldiers return home for an award ceremony and relief from me that they are safe.

Cheers

Hahah that's funny. Now that bloke will be spreading the word that you really can't use mobile phones on a flight.

Hi Andrew,
I laughed too. My son's name is Andrew as well.
Photo shows one of the landings to pickup a patrol.

Cheers

Yes he does enjoy his job, Andrew. He is a commissioned officer.
A few years ago he was in the medical side. He has an honours degree in psychology. He was helping traumatized soldiers resettle as a result of combat fatigue. Now he is taxi-ing them into battle.

Cheers
