How to curb impulse buying??

Ever since Roland announced the AP140 I knew I wanted one but the waiting list was a turn off. Astro-Physics are not producing refractors at present so the AP140 is a rare beast...until now...one has come up for sale on Astromart...to buy or not to buy.

The last time I felt like this was when I wanted an APOMAX 130...and that ended with me buying one from a seller in Germany.

Trouble is, that wouldn't be the end of it. I'd need a dark sky site preferably with NBN connected, fully robotic mount and observatory.

Buy it, you know you want to. There is no known cure, one of my mates aptly named the condition "spendthrift fever", the only way to get any relief is to spend you way out....

In my case it's usually: Buy now and regret later.

But, you can't take it with you, so you may as well enjoy it while you can. Besides, if you've thought about it for this long, it's not really an "impulse" buy anymore.

One simplistic cure for impulse buying is when the seller restricts the sale..in the case of the AP140 it was a CONUS only sale...like 99% of the Astromart classifieds....problem solved.

You can still buy it though? With one of those US ship-through services like shipito.com?

Cheers
