Well it was moving really fast and I struggle to keep up with it. The live view from Gingin is great.

I finally pointed my scope towards the rough direction guided on 80Leo and waited.

It really looks rough, so I was wondering if I managed to capture it tumbling?

Otherwise I am happy with my first asteroid capture

Nice Capture, it was a tough one. The line may be wobbly due to your alignment, the stars are a little bouncy in that same axis?

2 degrees, the exposure was 240 seconds.

I had another image directly after of a satellitte and there was no wobbliness on that one. Maybe the satellite flew past faster.

Need to fix the mount or better guiding.

Just had a report from an observer who mentioned they could see it wobbling as well.
I looked at the photo again and I have severe coma around the edges. The central part seems OK so maybe I did catch it spinning?

Fantastic shot,

Was it a multiple of subs stiched or just one long exposure?

Cheers

Just one long exposure. I have never shot an asteroid so I just set it to 240 sec. Was a nice evening a bit dewy though
