Which music?

Which music do you listen towhile observing/astroimaging?

I have to image from my driveway, which means I don't even take a leak inside, let alone leave the setup alone! So, I sit and watch, usually looking through binos or my night vision scope, but I also listen to, with headphones my favourite music to get me in the frame of mind.

My list is:

1. Era. I have all their stuff. Never tire of it. Love it.
2. The soundtrack from Prometheus, especially Invitation (track 24)
3. Mylene Farmer, occasionally.
4. I also have a selection of Russian music I listen to too: Ljube, Hi-Fi, Via Gra etc (Vasya will know who I mean).
5. Beethoven or Vivaldi

Always have been eclectic and contra-mainstream with my music. I am as far from being an AC-DC fan as the Pope has being Jewish

No music for me while observing, just the sounds of the mountains and the creek behind the house as well as the rabbits and kangaroos chewing on our plants.

( I too set up in the driveway but around here you can still leave things like cars and houses unlocked, often the keys still in the ignition)

I do have a little security system in place though >> http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...W/Lara3yrs.jpg

Lucky for some.

Otherwise, I have to contend with cars, barking dogs and yapping poodles, and a neighbour's aircon that rattles like a marble in a coffee can.

I'm into the peace and quiet, too. I've thought about music, but then I'd have to buy a portable player (again, having bought and sold several in the past).

Ah, those were the days. I remember as a kid we never locked the back door - I never even had a key when I went out, and there were no front or side fences, either.

I'm with you H... Opeth in particular is an observing favorite...

Bit hesitant to get the headphones in recently since my surprise 'visitor' a few weeks ago (investigation still ongoing)...

x 2 usually.

I was at ASV's dark site a few weeks ago by myself and had some pretty serious Finnish Folk Metal going

I find if I'm playing loud music through the head phones at home things like noise and light pollution become less of an issue for me. I also feel more lost in myself and I appreciate that seperation.
