Barely visible are actual diffraction spikes from the spider in my RC, which goes to show how bright this is.

My webhoster is down at the moment, so I will post a full sized image tomorrow.

Fantastic, really glad i suggested this one around, we are starting to see some great images of this SN, thanks Martin, very nicely done indeed as usual.

Martin, I feel unqualified to comment on your work other than to say FANTASTIC! Someday I'd like to get there knowing it's many years of work frustration and study. Thanks for showing what is possible! It's inspirational.

Martin,
I very happy for the recognition given...well done.
I would like to see the equivalent of the APOD for spectactular, world class spectra collected by the amateur.....unfortunately they don't seem to have the same appreciation by the community as some of the astro images....such is life.

Lovely image and cool APOD. I too had the pleasure of seeing it through a 25" scope earlier in the month, and the images make a good memory of that superb vista.
