Eta Carina from Lostock - 20Da

Got around to processing my Eta Carina shots from Lostock today.
This is a combination of 1 x 30 sec and 4 x 90 sec frames.
Camera used was the Canon 20Da, in Camera Noise reduction, and ISO 1600
through Louie's Atalas' 80ED scope on,
the superb G11 mount, which he's selling.
Processing was done in Photoshop and Neat Image.

Thanks heaps guys,

Also I forgot to mention that all the frames where shot in RAW mode,
which gives 16 bits per channel colour.
Bigger files but great to edit with.

Cheers

Hi Andrew

Wow – that is a superb image of a fantastic Southern Hemisphere object – great job.

Our Northern Hemisphere cousins are missing out big time. On your larger version I notice that although there is some slight coma at the very edges, it is very controlled and minor – were you using some kind of field flattener?

Great processing too.

Cheers

Dennis

Cheers Dennis,

No I didn't use a flattener at all.

Hi Andrew,

What a wonderful shot! I love the red that you've got in there.

Now I finally see what you got up to on Louie's mount!

Regards,
Humayun
