Thanks Bart.

The operation went well, apparently. However, I will not know if it was successful for about three months or so. Had torn tendons replaced in my hand in a two stage op, the last of which was on Monday. It sucks not having the use of my right hand, which is my dominant hand. Have to write with my left hand, my time sheets now look like they are written by a four year old.

Cheers Peter

Not so sure we are at fault Bartman. Talking to a guy from Melbourne who arrived here on the weekend. Maybe he brought the weather with him!

It wasn't that long ago that we had great clear skies whilst the east coast languished under sodden skies.

BUT....if this keeps up, I think I will attach a CCD camera (with transmitter) to my 80mm telescope and attach that setup to a high altitude balloon! Hmmm, wonder how I could stabilise it?

I don't think too many people are returning things yet... this weekend was a complete loss. Rain, rain and more rain...

Rain has now stopped, skies are starting to clear, but I'm not holding my breath.

We really can't complain, as the weather is often far better over here then the east. A few days of cloud and showers is going to be a long forgotten episode as we have a good 6 months solid of beautiful weather ahead of us unlike the Vic's, New South Welshman and Queenslanders who will probably end up under 20000ft of cloud and possibly water again (hope not ).

Thunderstorms

Sorry guys, might be my fault.

We just flew the old Auster across for a Chipmunk Flyin at Mundijong.
Been wet, windy and now thunderstorms since we arrived.

Leaving tomorrow so all will be better.

Neil.

I've heard about the weather back home. I hope it comes good when I finally come home from my time in Japan this Thursday! I've had my gear all boxed up since earlier this year so missed just about all of 2012.

Darrin...

Maybe it was my mental thoughts on how I should approach this summers viewing the last few days that have made it worse......

I get an idea and want to test it out .......then the forecast just gets worse......

Clear my thoughts ......clear my thoughts

Blasted the Auster back to Kalgoorlie with a 26+ knot tailwind, so the weather in the west should be improving.
Fun Landing when the wind gusts higher than my stall speed. Hover.

The Fly in was pretty much weathered out, although that meant that what was there stayed on the ground for looking at.

Chipmunks
Tigers
Austers
Champ
C120
C170s
C180s
C195s
Bird dog
Stinson reliant
Nord ???

Hope you enjoy the improving weather, Neil.

That's not helping!
Love the Stinson Reliant, got an unfinished scratch-build balsa one here, will get it in the air one day.
