Jupiter + Io 28th Sept. 2012

Going to be an ok season for me (seeing permitting) given I'm the only planet imager shooting from so far north in AU.

Bit of a combo stack here - 2.5 mins @ 30FPS + 2.5 mins @ 60FPS finals stacked. Total frames stacked = 6K. F22.

Thanks all.

And a resample of another AVI in better seeing. A bit grainy but hell, I did say it was gonna be an OK season & not an excellent one.. Love those colours so I've upped the saturation a bit, as well as fiddled until I got a better balance.

I like the second shot John. I will be up your way in a couple of weeks. I will be bringing my C14 too. So from Cairns it should be around 68 degrees. Briefly there will be two of us shooting from far north QLD.

Well it is a consideration for the 2018 camp Anthony and I have planned to host internationals. West Coast produces great seeing for sure but getting there might be a problem. If Cairns pans out it is another site we can include in the seeing equation.

Good stuff Paul. Yes WA is a bit far to go I think but as we already know, some really good seeing can be had. As you also already know, there's very good seeing to be had up here on the east coast too.

Well anyone is welcome to come on up & try their luck Troy
