Sunspots collection and evolution

Hi All,

Sunspot AR1582 (Left) and AR1579.
Taken today 27 Sep 2012 at 03:30 UT.

Sky was clean with no haze, but with some high clouds. Quiet happy with the details captured this time, after so long!

great image. I viewed and imaged these two spots today although nowhere near as much detail as this.

Hi Shah,
Great image, very sharp indeed. The granules are clearly visible and the details on the spots are also great.

The Sun has slowed down its activity, I wonder if we are going to have a level of activity comparable to the beggining of this year.

Thanks for posting,

Fernando

Thanks Steve. I was rather surprise also, especially when I'm using a small 120mm refractor.

Thanks Fernando. I believe the superior resolution of the camera IMG132E really help in getting all the granules pop up. plus some good seeing.

I was hoping the Sun's activity will increase in time for this Nov eclipse, then we'll be in a treat to see those spectacular corona during solar max.

Thanks Ted. Colourizing it is a bit tricky though.

AR1582 and AR1579 - 29 Sep 2012, 0130 UT

Today's shot on AR1582 and AR1579

Missed yesterday's sequence due to overcast sky all day long. For this image, I did a simple flat field and remove it via AS2.

The image seems a bit soft, probably due to a layer of thin high clouds today.
