Solar mosaic 23 September

First run using both the Lunt 80 and the PGR camera. 6 panels (some join defects present I need to sort out etalon settings) with the final image being a huge 150mb which I have obviously reduced down to 1.3mb.

Detail is so much sharper. Seeing was pretty average but this does show hope.

You will note there are no proms visible. I need to work on camera settings for this to show up. Took too much gamma out I think.

Feel free to tell me like it is.

Hey Paul
Coming up a bit bright on my monitor for the centre of the disk. Plenty of nice detail about. I sure you''ll work out the gremlins. Agree the potential is there.

Congrats on the image - new toys (now working) are fun. The biggest challenge is getting that even brightness across the panels. I am sure you will nail it with some more time. Looking forward to many more discs.

Thanks guys.

Ted I addressed the brightness, but still not to my personal liking. Having said that though this is one of my better images. Looking forward to tomorrow (sunny day).

Hi Paul,
Lovely image, very sharp. On my monitor the center of the image looks good, but on the edge it is a little dark. I think a light masked S&H would fix this.

Best Regards,

Fernando

Got some good seeing this morning Pete. Hoping this image will look absolutely pedestrian as a result. Processing now. I will post the results sometime Friday or Saturday.
