Singapore and Borneo

We have just arrived back from 11 Days in Singapore and Borneo. Haven't really travelled in SE Asia so was a bit of an eyeopener!
Pics attached are

1. A male Orang-utan named Ritchie at the Semangoh Wildlife reserve
2. Our longboat being manouvered over rapids on the Delok River on our return jourey to Kuching from the Nanga Sumpa Longhouse.
3. Night view of the Singapore Skyline form the Skydeck on the 57th floor of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel.
4. The waterfall we swan below while on a hike and boat trip up the Delok from the longhouse.

Thanks Paddy.
That Orang is 220kgs. Huge beast. They look nice and friendly but you wouldn't want to tangle with one. We were very lucky to see orangs as the reserve is 650 ha and there are about 25 on site, so it is pot luck, luckily we saw 9 including the big male and a mother and baby.
Thanks Mick. Hope you enjoy the trip in October. It was our first visit to SE Asia and we loved it. The humidity is a bit hard to take, though once we made it up into the rainforest it was a bit easier.
Where exactly are you heading?

Just going to Singapore itself. Visiting the zoo (twice), bird park, Santosa, markets, temples etc. Going for 6 days.

Sounds good! Are you doing the night safari as well as the zoo? Sentosa is OK if you like theme parks, probably the best thing is the Butterfly and Insect world.
If you like museums the Asian Civilizations Museum is really good. Also check out the Gardens by the Bay at Marina Bay and pay the entry fee to the big indoor domes, well worth it!
