Flying over Egypt

Earlier this year I flew to the Basque Country to visit my family. Watching the flight map monitors I noticed we were flying directly over the Nile and thought "I wonder if..." and low and behold there they were, the Great Pyramids basking in the morning Sun. The blinds went up all the way, people were sleeping, I didn't care I just started snapping away whilst being completely awe struck

Meanwhile I'm yet to set foot on Egypt

How lucky is that! Fabulous story.

If I ever sat next to you on a plane, please don't hesitate to wake me up to
show me something this iconic!

Thanks Gary, you bet and being 6'5" and flying economy I don't get much sleep on aeroplanes so I spend most of the trip looking out the window. Flights attendants constantly nag me to drop the blinds, I argue I've paid for my seat but not too heatedly as I don't want to get hand-cuffed and escorted off the plane when we land
