Saturn Nebula (NGC 7009)

I almost gave up on this one the conditions were so bad. Frequent strong wind gusts and the atmosphere was really boiling. Anyway I haven't imaged this one for a long time and it's the first image from the Ritchey Chretien for 8-9 months. Definitely not great though.

Cheers

Steve

Nice image of a very small object Steve, it is very difficult to get many details out of sub arcmins targets and you did it very well!
Clear skies

Thanks Marco and Justin. Another problem with this thing is that it's just too bright. I used 5 minute subs but 2 minutes would have probably been better. Don't know if anyone has ever done this with a web cam. It's probably bright enough.

Thanks Ross. I'll have to try it again some time when the conditions are better.
