Mega Filament - one of the big ones!

Hi all
Under blue but boiling skies I managed a few Ha snaps - the giant filament was by far the most impressive thing on the Sun today - I think it is about as long a one as I have seen.
LS60, 2.5 Powermate, DMK31 and Registax5.

Uohhh Matt, that is a really giant filament. I hope it still be there at morning (my time).

Yes, those images with half hemisphere show perfectly how big this filament is, more than a quarter of the solar disc Amazing !!

Nice going Matt. Like the detail you have captured too.

I am currently slugging out a 15 panel mosaic and this filament really stands out. With any luck it will snap in the next few days and send a stream of matter Earths way and trigger some nice aurora.
