Saturn in fairly good seeing July29

Hi
Seeing was reasonably good for a short burst and the scope was cooled close to ambient on dusk, so images looked OK for a while. Clouds kept streaming over, but a clear spot opened up around Saturn and stayed for about 6 minutes - enough to grab a shortened, but complete, rgb sequence.
thanks for looking. regards Ray

Very nice work Ray even better when considering what the jetstream charts have looked like over the last week.

thanks Trevor. I was surprised at the seeing - the jetstream has been savage lately, but this small break was OK. tried for Jupiter next morning, but should have stayed asleep.

hi Rob. thanks. For interest, just did the attached restack using drizzle super-res - not sure it's much better, but it is bigger. Also, an interesting dark mark in the southern hemisphere is visible in this view. regards Ray

Fabulous shots Ray. I'm becoming a massive fan of your photos.

You manage to capture Saturn's beauty so wonderfully. I could look at your photos all day.

Do you sell prints anywhere?

Holy smokes Ray,

Those shots kick ass!

Makes me dribble in anticipation and want to get my scope out again soon.

Excellent work.

Cheers

thanks for your very generous comment Setae - agree that it is a really beautiful object. I had not considered selling prints, but will look into it.
