Machinist with Milling Machine

I'm after someone to mill down the vanes of my VC200L scope. The spider vanes on this scope are ~5mm thick and consequently bright stars appear like diamonds.

There are many reports of people successfully milling down the vanes on these scopes and improving the roundness of stars in their images.

The vanes are made of cast aluminium. I would like them milled down to 2mm thick. I am fortunate to have been given a spare set of vanes (thanks Allan), so can experiment on them without too much fear.

Here is a link to someone who has done this in the USA - LINK

Happy to pay someone a reasonable amount for their time.

Thanks in advance if you can be of assistance.

David,
milling the vanes may be very tricky and time-consuming (expensive) procedure.
It is much better approach to try and replace the vanes with thin shim or tape (.5mm and thinner bronze or messing).
You only have to think of the way to attach the tape to the secondary holder.
Another approach to reduce/remove spikes are curved vanes (http://www.protostar.biz/cm-faq.htm)

Thanks for all who have replied by PM and to Bojan for your post.

I have located a set that have already been milled down, and they'll be on the way shortly - thanks Dan.
